Tamaki Nami (玉置成実) first emerges into the Jpop scene as the singer for "Believe" and "Realize", opening themes for anime Gundam Seed. Her demo tape was chosen out of more than 3000 applicants, for her rendition of Survivor by Destiny's Child. Since then, she released 3 more singles and her debut album "Greeting", which all received great praise. In fact, "Greeting" climbed as high as number 5 on the Oricon Charts!

Her popularity reaches overseas when she became an artist under Tofu Records, and attended several American anime conventions (including Pacific Media Expo, Fanime-con, and Project A-Kon) to promote the American release of her album. She put on greeat performances and won the crowd. Lol if only she would come to Canada!

Her music can definitely be grouped in the dance category, as she mostly sing fast songs with energetic beats. Though she is only 16 years old, her looks and voice resemble a mature person in her 20's ^^ Besides awesome songs and good looks, she can sure dance well! All her music videos contain difficult dance sequences with many background dancers.

Undoubtedly she is one of the hottest female Jpop acts right now. With her musical success, she is now trying out acting, with her first movie debut in the manga adaptation Lovely Complex.
